NAME
rdate – set system date from a remote host
SYNOPSIS
rdate hostname
DESCRIPTION
rdate sends a request to the time server on hostname and sets the local date and time to the value returned by the server. rdate will time out if the server doesn’t respond in 10 seconds.rdate can be added to /etc/rc to automatically synchronize the system time with the time server on each reboot.
CLUSTER CONSIDERATIONS
You cannot use the rdate command in partner mode to synchronize the time of the partner with a time server.
